用途
1.紫外線吸收劑。主要用于防曬類和曬黑類化妝品，對光和空氣的化學性穩(wěn)定，對皮膚安全，還具有在皮膚上成膜的能力。能有效地吸收U．V．B區(qū)域280-320μm 中波光線區(qū)域)的紫外線。添加量通常為4%左右。

2.本品為局部麻醉，用于創(chuàng)傷面、潰瘍面及痔瘡等止癢止痛，使用濃度5%~20%。也用作藥物合成和有機合成中間體。

苯唑卡因是一種脂溶性表面麻醉劑，與其它幾種局麻藥如利多卡因、地卡因等相比，其作用強度較小，因而在作用于粘膜時不會因麻醉作用而使人感到不適。它是一種脂溶性較強的藥物，故而易與粘膜或皮膚的脂層結(jié)合，但不易透過而進人體內(nèi)產(chǎn)生毒性。
